We believe that it is of great value for all concerned to know with which unchangeable energy dispositions two persons or companies have been born and are planning to or are in the process of engaging in a relationship as Employer/Employee (Parent Company/Subsidiary Company), a Business Partnership (Joint Ownership or Management), a Friendship (Cooperation between two Companies), Being Lovers (Temporarily Common Project), or a Marriage (Merger of two Companies).
As the natal energies in an individual's or company's personality cannot be altered, our assessment is good for the life-time of that person or company.

Five Types of Relationships

The importance of criteria for a functional relationship differs with its type. What is a salient canon in the workplace may be of no significance between lovers. It follows that the two partners score differently in their compatibility in different areas of application.
We have divided the assessment results into the relationship types of Employer/Employee, Business Partners, Friends, Lovers, and Being Married (the corresponding areas in company life; see above), to reflect the most common fields of human mutual engagement in today's society ¹⁾.
As a general rule, the value of compatibility rises with the number of contact fields in which the partners are dealing with each other. In particular in the field of Employer/Employee, where this number may vary from a shop with only a few employees to a company with a few hundreds or thousands. However, in the latter case there would be smaller social units in which the relationship between the employee and his immediate superior would be the one that counts.
The resultants of the compatibility calculations are displayed in a table of Overall Percentages in accordance with those five relationship types.
Whilst these umbrella scores are helpful in obtaining a tentative, initial idea, it is recommended to read the specific percentages and texts associated with those types of energies that have been analyzed for a particular type of relationship (the text part is available in the program subject called Compatibility Percentages and Delineations, in which they are shown in the tables Individual Percentages and Individual Delineations).
In an example, a high overall score in a marriage relationship may only show a 10% compatibility between the Intimate Selfs (ISs) of the partners, which might, in the long run, lead to a severe dysfunctionality of the intimate life between the partners. Without doubt, there is a need to become individually aware of which specific energic compatibilities are of importance and with which ones with a lower score one can probably cope without having to compromise the basis of the relationship.

¹⁾ Another area of great interest is that of Family relationships. However, not all Parent/Child relationships can be put into one specific category. The rapport differs depending on how much and what the two sides are doing with each other.
As a general guideline, the parental relationship with a child up to the age of 10 yrs could be likened to that of an Employer/Employee (with the child being the employee), and from that age onward could be regarded as that of Friends.

Before You Begin

No modality of divination or psychology can claim to be all-encompassing in its attempt to deliver a comprehensive assessment of a person's personality matrix.
As all these disciplines concentrate on different aspects of energy application in the human nature, it makes sense to obtain pertinent advice from qualified practitioners in these fields (eg numerology, astrology, tarot, Mayan dream spell, runes, psychology) and combine them in a meaningful and non-selfcontradicting way. Whilst the aforementioned disciplines analyze the functional ability of two beings for existing together in a meaningful relationship, there is no way of predicting how long the relationship will last. Different stages in personal development and levels of consciousness may lead to a diversion of interests that the individuals take to pursue the fulfillment of their life.

Non-Natural Persons

Person A and B may also be juristic persons, ie legal entities like businesses, companies, associations, or public law or statuary corporations.
To be regarded as an entity for the purpose of this assessment, they have to be in a position in which they act on their own volition, in their own right and go through their own process of decision-making - ie exercise their will like a natural person. John Citizen trading as Citizen Plumbing does not suffice this condition, whereas Citizen Plumbing Inc does.
The Birth Date of such entities has to be clearly discernable. It is the date on which they commenced their full legal existence and functionality. This is usually the date of public registration.
As is the case with natural entities, legal tags (in English-speaking countries eg Co, Corp, Inc, Pty, Ass; and others, like the word The) are to be omitted in the fields of the Analyzed Name, unless they are an expressed part of the entity's name (as in Incorporated Mississippi Steamships, or The East India Trading Company).
As with non-natural entities there is no division between Given-Names and Surname, the field for the Birth Given-Names and the Birth Surname may be used to type in the company's entire name, whereas in the Analyzed Name section only the field for the Analyzed Given-Name must be chosen for the entity's name. Here, all the words in the business/company name have to be joined to form one word (no hyphens).
In case the thus formed word is longer than 46 characters, leave those parts out that are of the least importance in the full business/company name as far as the general public recognizes the business/company by its name.

Different Calendar Systems

Throughout history, different calendar systems existed and were changed at different times depending on country and culture.
An example is the Gregorian calendar (our current time system), which was decreed in 1582, with the exact year of introduction varying from country to country.
The predecessor to the Gregorian calendar was the Julian calendar which existed in most European areas from 45 BC onwards. Both, the Julian and the Gregorian systems are often refered to as the Christian calendars.
Most countries converted to the Gregorian system in the 16th and 18th century, but some not before the 20th century (China only in 1946). Before these times and in other parts of the world, also other time structures were present, each being a specific expression of the prevailing culture in which is was devised and used.
Going back in time for research and study, numerology requires to work with the date of birth relating to the calendar scheme of the period in the particular country into which an individual was born, and the numerological system that applied to that same time frame. This need is based on the premise that consciousness tunes into the cultural mold existing at birth and embeds individual dispositions in the carrier frequencies of the group consciousness of the surrounding society.
Inversely, a date known in such a calendar system has to be converted to the Gregorian time count, to be calculated in a system used in today's time. However, depending on how great the cultural difference between nowadays' society and that in those days is, the results of such an assessment would have to be regarded as approximate only. Whilst the calendar conversion and numerological calculations would not pose a problem, today's textual interpretation of the energies would not be appropriate.
With most European countries and North America there would be no disparity, but it would not be fruitful to expect a truthful evaluation dealing with societies and their life styles outside of this group (example: ancient Kabbalistic numerology applies to the ancient Hebrew gentry only and cannot be employed in today's communities, either Hebrew or other).

In the case that more than one calendar exist at the time pertaining to the life of an individual, the person has to decide which one is prevailing in the individual's daily affairs and is shaping the course of living.
In principle, the tenets of numerology can be applied to any time system as long as a date can be depicted in a numerical way and is written in the way it exists in that system (eg, 464 BC or -464 are applicable).
In the certus System of Personality Assessments we have based calculations and delineations of energies on the Gregorian (present) calendar system, with a month not exceeding 31 days, February in leap years adjusted, 12 months in the year, and applicable between the years 1 through 9999. Outside of these parameters little research work has been done and no verifiable records exist. The algorithms and texts used in the certus system have withstood the test of time in our cultural system since Pythagoras in the 6th century BC.

Person A and Person B

In all combinations, Person A is regarded as the dominant part in a relationship. If in doubt, Person A is meant to be the Employer, influentially stronger Business Partner, dominating Friend, male Lover, or male Marriage partner. However, an exchange of these positions will not alter the resulting percentages by more than a few points, in many cases not at all. The tables containing the textual descriptions, are not affected.

Name Options

Throughout life, the birth name remains to be the main supplier of the energies responsible for how a person's talents and gifts, and thus his* individual way of expressing and projecting himself are applied.
Names taken on later, via marriage or arbitrary change for whatever reason, add additional energies to those already in place on the basis of the birth name. Statistical data show that the birth name vibrations generally prevail at about 60% or more, depending on how long and intensively a name has been used.
A name change does thus only vary certain aspects of the expression of the person but not the principle personality that is the bedrock of character, belief system, motivation, or fundamental occupational aptitudes. No influence at all does a name modification or complete exchange have on those characteristics that are based on the birth date : the Fundamental Lesson the person has to learn in this life, the Area of Manifestation in which this is achieved best, the Intimate Self the individual is bearing, and the Outstanding Characteristics the person is showing.
A name change, in whatever form, can be to the benefit or detriment of the person's personality, as the added vibrations may or may not be in harmony with those of the birth name.
Understanding this principle, a person can apply wisdom in bringing about a predefined resultant energy combination to fulfill a premeditated goal of influencing a person's way of expressing himself.
Numerologists/acrophonologists are not seldom employed in advising on such matters and in doing the analytical work when construing names for newly born babies, celebrities, movie and book titles, companies, products, or race horses.

An important aspect of Name Options is the opportunity to detect the energies - and with that how they get on with another person's vibrations - in case of a name by which a person is known in specific environments, eg, a nickname that is used in private circles, a trading name that identifies a person in the world of business, or an acronym under which a company is listed on the stock exchange.
When inserting such names, bear in mind that the energies of the birth name are not accounted for, as the birth name is either not mentioned at all or only in a modified form. Any name inserted in the fields for the analyzed name will be processed. A complete report dealing with the birth name, the modified name(s) can only be done in an individual offline assessment.
However, there may be good reasons for wanting to detect the personality of a person (or business) based on the name by which it is known by the general public (eg Madame Blavatzky instead of Yelena Petrovna von Hahn or Krishnamurti instead of Juddu Nahriane, or the icon Mercedes instead of Daimler Benz). The analysis would show how such a 'trade mark' would fare in the subconsciousness of the public.
In some cases, a person may have identified himself with a shortened version of his full birth name to the degree that this taken-on new energy is now playing a weighty role in his everyday life (eg Oscar Wilde for Oscar O'Flahertie Fingal Wills Wilde). There may be an interest in using the shortened name in a personality study.

* In all our texts and reports the male gender is used uniquely to stand for both sexes equally.

Read the following Notes very carefully before you fill in the name fields

The acrophonological part (the name part) of the certus system of analysis is based on the Latin letters and the phonognomics as they prevail in the alphabets of the European languages using these letters. Non-Latin, special characters specific to a certain language (eg pronunciation marks) are not permitted in this program as they would lead to incorrect results.
Names outside of this foundation have to be phonetically transliterated in order to produce the same sound, preferably in the English language and in the simplest and clearest way to render an unequivocal pronunciation. This condition is accounted for in the analyzed name section.
Higher and/or lower case letters may be used.
The words before the family name (surname) are regarded as the given names. In Thomas Alva Edison, the birth Given-Names are Thomas Alva whilst the Birth Surname is Edison.
The Birth Given-Names and Birth Surname may be as short as a two-letter word each, eg An and Ne, as this idiosyncrasy may be the result of a phonetic transliteration of an ancient or traditional language. In such a case, make sure that the Analyzed Given-Names and the of the Analyzed Surname contains at least one vowel and consonant in each of these fields.
If a name in its original spelling does not contain such, insert your Analyzed Given-Names and/or Analyzed Surname the way they are spoken in the English language (ie the phonetic way). Most probably, this will render at least one vowel or consonant in each of these fields (example: Krk in phonetic English becomes Kirk).
In the extreme case that a person only bears a one-word name (as is the case with many companies), the fields for the Birth Given-Names and Analyzed Birth Given-Names have to be filled in with that one word. This one word may though be the result of two or more hyphenated or non-hyphenated words (eg Western Union becomes WesternUnion). The fields for the Birth Surname and Analyzed Surname stay blanc.
If none of the following rules apply to your birth name, the analyzed name will be the same as the birth name and should be typed in accordingly.

* The fields for the Birth Given-Names and Birth Surname should contain the name in its original way of writing, including
  titles and genealogical indicators (provided the keyboard allows this), and none of the typing rules given below will apply.
  Seeing the original name on screen also aids in deciding what alterations have to be made (if necessary) when filling in
  the fields for the analyzed names.
* Accents (eg in the French, Spanish, Nordic, or Slavic languages) are not typed (eg in the analyzed names fields Françoise
  becomes Francoise, Niño becomes Nino).
* Particular pronunciations of letters as they exist for instance in dialects of European languages are not taken into account
  (eg Jean in Scottish, is not turned into Shawn but remains Jean in the analyzed name fields).
* Some Latin-letter languages use consonant combinations that incorporate clear vowel-sounds in that tongue, although the
  pronunciation in English may not be intelligible or be next to impossible (like the male name Krk).
  As the principle of acrophonology is not based on any particular language, these names have to be used in their original
  spelling, for consciousness created these names in that particular vocalization.
* A-, O-, and U-"Umlaut" (eg in German, Turkish, or Scandinavian languages): they are dealt with in the same way as
  accents are, ie their special pronunciation is not anglicized (eg Jules in French stays Jules, Jürgen in German becomes
  Jurgen, and Bjørg in Danish becomes Bjorg).
* You may use hyphens in the field for the Birth Given-Names and the Birth Surname to state the original writing of the name.
* You must not use hyphens in the field for the Analyzed Given-Names and the Analyzed Surname; here the hyphenated
   words have to be joint together to form one word (eg Jean-Baptist becomes JeanBaptist and Alfa Romeo turns into
   AlfaRomeo).
* In the fields for the analyzed name the use of commata, semicolons or other symbols is not permitted. Use only letters
  or their pronunciation substitutes (see further down).
* Titles (eg Ms, Baron, Highness, Sri, Ibn) are omitted unless they are integral part of the name (eg in Muyiddin Ibn Arabi)
* Genealogical indicators (eg Jr, Sr, III) are also omitted.
* Nobility or clan indicators (eg Upon Thames, de la Rose, van der Straat, O'Hara, or hyphenated surnames (eg von Witzling-
  Kabern), are joined together in the field for the Analyzed Surname to form one single-worded surname (eg Delarose,
  VanDerStraat, OHara, or VonWitzlingKabern).
* In case you have Birth Given-Names or a Birth Surname which, in its full length, exceeds the number of characters
  permitted in these fields (46), leave the least important words in these fields out and avoid inserting fragments of a word,
  which would cause incorrect results.
  This rule also applies to the analyzed name section.
* In the field of the Analyzed Given-Names, as mentioned before, make sure you insert at least one vowel (or its substitute)
  and one consonant in each of these fields.
* In the field of the Analyzed Given-Names use your Birth Given-Names, joining them all together in one new word (eg John
  Michael David becomes JohnMichaelDavid). If there is a hyphen, take it out (eg John-Michael David becomes   JohnMichaelDavid).
* In the field Analyzed Surname use your Birth Surname. If this is a hyphenated name (eg Barlow-Keene), take the hyphen
  out and insert one word instead (eg BarlowKeene).
  The same applies if your birth surname consists of several non-hyphenated words.
* In the Analyzed Name fields :
  Y (or y) : substitute it with a # if it is pronounced as a vowel (as in Boyd, May, or Yvonne)
  W (or w) : substitute it with an @ if it is pronounced as a vowel, which is the case if it is preceded by A, E, I, O, or U
  (respectively their lower case versions, eg in Howard and Shawn)
  Wh (or wh) : substitute it with an H if it is pronounced like an H (as in Who)
  Ph (or ph) : substitute it with an F if it is pronounced like an F (twice in Philadelphia)
  Ch (or ch) : substitute it with a C if it is pronounced as a K (as in Christabel)
  Ll (or ll) : substitute it with an X if it is pronounced the Spanish way (as in Caballo)
  Rr (or rr) : substitute it with an R if it is pronounced the Spanish way (as in Zorro)
